I am a Nationally Certified Canine Massage Therapist through the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupuncture & Massage (NBCAAM), with an exceptional love & understanding of animals.
When my Golden Retriever, Tiffany, suffered two CCL tears in less than 6 months apart, I enrolled and graduated from Canis Bodyworks. I turned my compassion for animals in pain into a bustling therapeutic canine massage business. I hope to help your dog benefit from my expertise too.
I use a variety of canine massage techniques to meet the needs of your furry companion. I offer personalized care plans and work with your veterinarian to ensure that your pet receives the attention and care they need to stay happy and healthy.
My massage sessions vary from dog to dog as no two dogs are alike. Each has it's own personality and physical limitations.
Paris is a recently rescued 11 yr. old Maltese who lost her back paw due to an unknown cause. She also had severe stomach issues when she arrived at her Foster parents.
After having 6 of her teeth removed because of bad hygiene, we began our work. Paris initially refused to let anyone touch or palpate her limb that was missing a paw. We began with trust building and have slowly won her trust. She now gets bi-weekly massages that include Lymphatic Drainage massage as well as other massage techniques to loosen the muscles in her joints and spine so she can move more easily.
Her Foster mom, has decided to adopt her and continue with her massage sessions. Congratulations, Paris!
Matcha, another rescue, came to me for some therapeutic massage. Her Pet Parent thought she could definitely benefit from massage for Match's anxiety, nervousness and tightness in her limbs & spine.
I did an initial assessment and intake on Matcha's gait, body condition and we discussed overall goals for her therapeutic canine massage session. This is a video of Matcha's very first session.
We love our clients and strive to provide a stress free environment during their massage session. Sessions must be booked in advance and Pet Parents are required to fill out an intake form before the first visit. Initial gait assessment, intake interview, trust building session is $150.
We can do massage sessions in our office in Villa Park or we can come to you for a small additional fee.
